The Isle of Sheppey is located just off the Kent coast between London and Dover. It's about a hour's drive to London and Dover, and the same by train, so it's easily accessible.

The island is about nine miles by six with a population of 38000. The main towns are Sheerness and Queenborough in the west, with Minster centrally located and Eastchurch, Warden and Leysdown to be found on the more remote eastern side of the island.

Each town, village or parish has its own story to tell; enough to attract a visitor to learn more about this quirky island attached to the mainland by two bridges.
